It is said by many a wise person that when we are in the middle of processing an experience, it is not the best time to write about it. We cannot teach others what we have yet to experience. Because wisdom comes after the intense emotions have passed and there is space to reflect on what it was all about.
Thus today, I’m not going to tell you a story, because to do so would not be of service to you, but would rather feel like airing my dirty laundry and expecting you to help me clean it.
For now I will share with you only my questions, in case these are also useful to you as you navigate whatever is happening in your life now.
I have many questions at this time, and I’ve heard myself say, “I don’t know what to do…” more times than I can count in this last wee while. Thus I keep looking for a better question, until one of them lead me to an answer I can live with.
The questions that came to me in journalling this morning were:
* What does love say on the matter?
* What does courage have to say?
* What does wisdom feel to say?
* And what will you do now?
I trust this message finds you well, and if not, then may you have the courage to sit in your own darkness until you are ready to emerge anew.
