Affiliate Disclosure

My aim in all my business dealings is to be as clear and transparent as possible, especially when it comes to how and when I am paid that may not be immediately obvious to all who engage with my website, social media accounts or my business through some other channel.

I think you deserve to know if we (the business) are making money by sharing a link to another company's product, service, software or “thing”. But I am also required by law to tell you that affiliate marketing is part of my business model for carolinesouthwell.com (hence this official page in my website footer :P).

Please note that my team or I may, from time to time, promote products, services and opportunities on this website that are provided through or delivered by another company or business. In some instances, I may be paid for doing this.

Being paid to promote “stuff” that other businesses offer is called “being an affiliate”. In these instances, I am affiliated with (connected to and sometimes speaking or writing about) these companies in a very specific, limited, promotional way that allows me to be compensated for the work of sharing their “stuff” with you.

How it works is that the affiliated company pays us (here at carolinesouthwell.com) a small commission or some other kind of compensation for promoting their website or products through their affiliate program directly to us for your purchase.

This might look like a partnership between that other company and mine. It may appear as an endorsement. Or I may be in some way sponsored. I will always endeavour to make this as clear as possible but please do take this affiliate disclosure as a broad, sweeping statement to say:

“I, Caroline Southwell, and those on my team here at carolinesouthwell.com and any future businesses I create, will regularly promote the work of other great humans and companies and we will happily receive fair payment for doing so.”

Sometimes I may speak or write in a direct way that you’ll spot as an obvious sales or promotional campaign for someone else’s work (product, service, etc). Sometimes I may share only a single line of text to explain what I’m recommending or why, or I may share only the link.

Please assume that any or all of the external links on this website (carolinesouthwell.com) may be affiliate links through which I may receive a small compensation from the sales of certain products, services or software (or any “thing” else one could buy from that affiliate company).

If the terms I’m using here are new to you, then the most important thing to understand is that an affiliate link is a hyperlink that sends the reader/viewer to make a purchase on an external affiliate company website.

If you click on an affiliate link located on carolinesouthwell.com and purchase an item through that link, you will be buying the item directly from the seller (not from carolinesouthwell.com).

Please know that I will only promote something (a product or company) or someone (person or service) if I think what they offer is wonderful, or at the very least, darn useful. Most of the time I will have personally used the product or service and be able to speak from my own experience about why it’s awesome.

Other times, I may see that something is of high quality and a great match for the needs of my community and, after due diligence to check out the product/ service/ company I may promote the thing I believe will be helpful for many people I serve.

As often as possible I will aim to make it clear who this “thing” is suited for and who it is not. Sometimes the sales copy or promotional campaign will make it obvious, other times I may choose to spell it out.

Please always make a considered decision if the “thing” I’m promoting is right for you. Just because I think the person, business or opportunity is amazing, doesn’t mean it’s right for every person on the planet. Consider your needs and decide accordingly.

(If it’s a big purchase you’re looking to make then please know I can only give personalised recommendations to clients during 1:1 coaching sessions as this allows me to know more about you, your goals, your needs, etc. If you would like me to give you this level of personalised support you can learn more about the coaching options here.

I will always tell you what I feel is in your best interests regardless of whether it makes us more money or not because my ultimate aim is to help you be your most authentic self, so all our business actions are driven by that.)

Being an affiliate means you’ll get access to the same product, service, software or opportunity (whatever it may be) at the same (or sometimes) lower price than if you were to do a web search and purchase it without my link. You won’t pay more by clicking the link.

Hence, affiliate marketing (that is, the act of myself or my team marketing other people or companies’ “things” for you to consider purchasing) is a win for everyone. It’s a win for you because you get a good price and get to support this business, which then helps us pour more money back into this business to support you further.

It’s a win for the company we’re promoting because they get more wonderful customers (that’s you!). And it’s a win for us because you’re contributing to our overall revenue and helping us stay financially healthy.

So thank you for clicking on and considering anything we promote here that is the offering of a different company. Thank you, in advance, for anything you may buy from other people through our links.

If it ever happens that you purchase something from a company we’re affiliated with and you’re not happy with your experience, please do let us know. We want to be associated with wonderful businesses that are doing great things in the world, and thus want to be sure that this network of people we are connected with continues to provide high-quality experiences and “things” for our community.

Finally, if you’re a long-time client or student of this community and you’ve found a product, service or software option (or anything a person like you could need) that’s provided by a company you adore and you feel would be super helpful for your fellow humans doing this brave “becoming more conscious” work we do here at carolinesouthwell.com then please email us and tell us where we can check out this awesome thing =)

If you have read this page in its entirety and still have questions you can email us.
